Big Second Half Lifts Virginia Wesleyan Past Guilford in ODAC Men's Hoops

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. – Khory Moore's 19 points led three Marlins in double-figure scoring in Virginia Wesleyan College's 85-64 Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) basketball win over visiting Guilford College Saturday.

The Marlins (21-4, 13-3 ODAC) are ranked 10th in this week's D3hoops.com Top 25 Poll and fourth in the latest Division III South Region Rankings.

Guilford (17-8, 10-6 ODAC) held a 40-37 halftime lead, but Virginia Wesleyan roared back in the second half. The Marlins made 60 percent of their second-half shots, including six three-pointers, and outscored the Quakers, 48-24, in the final 20 minutes. Greg Montgomery scored 13 of his 15 points in the second half and teammate Breven Lyons netted 10 of his 18 points in the frame.

Guilford's Matt McCarthy scored 14 points and Jonny Rice added 12 tallies in the regular-season finale for both teams.
