GREENSBORO, N.C. -- Adam Fiore had two goals and two assists in Guilford College's 8-4 Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) lacrosse win over visiting Bridgewater College Saturday.
Taylor Teodosio scored the first goal of the game with 9:02 left in the first quarter. Bridgewater's Kevin Ashcraft and Derrick Daniels each scored one goal in the final 2:18 of the quarter, putting the Eagles ahead, 2-1. The Quakers' Connor Milton scored, assisted by Fiore, followed by a Fiore goal two minutes later. Guilford netted two more in the third quarter, putting them ahead for good. The Eagles scored twice more but were outmatched.
Teodosio had two goals for Guilford (6-5, 1-3 ODAC). Juquan Tellis, Henry Farley, Connor Milton and Dylan Haupt scored one goal apiece. Nick Huckins tallied a game-high eight ground balls. Thomas Deane and Cam Davis added three each. Deane (3-2) earned his third win in the goal for the Quakers.
Landon Elmore paced Bridgewater (3-7, 0-5 ODAC) with two goals. Ashcraft and Daniels added one each. Andrew Buss and Sam Cheplick shared team-high ground ball honors with five each. Lucas Clark added four.
Guilford returns to action Wednesday, Apr. 10 against ODAC opponent Randolph College at 7:00 p.m. on the road. The Quakers return to Armfield Athletic Center Wednesday, Apr. 17 against Roanoke College at 7:00 p.m.
