Men's Track and Field Opened Year at JDL Duals

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. -- The Guilford College men's track and field team opened the season on Sunday at the JDL Early Bird Duals held at the JDL Fast Track on Sunday.

The Quaker 4x400-meter relay team placed 22nd of 24 teams with a 3:47.81 time. The team consisted of four freshmen: Amir Abdur-RahimBen James; Keshawn Murray and Will Nowatka.

Sophomore Asa Bell finished 27th in the 60M dash after clocking a 7.34 time. KJ Dorsey placed 25th in the long after the freshman leaped 5.62 meters. Abdur-Rahim was the fastest of four Quakers entered in the 200M. He was 28th after posting a 24:85 time. 

The Quakers return to action on January 11 at the ETSU Track and Field Invitational. The two-day meet takes place in Johnson City, Tennessee.
