Ferrum Claims 9-0 ODAC Women's Tennis Win Over Guilford

GREENSBORO, N.C. – Ferrum College claimed a 9-0 Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) women's tennis victory at Guilford College Saturday in the Piedmont Indoor Tennis Center.

The Panthers (1-3, 1-3 ODAC) picked up their first win of the season. Guilford dropped to 1-4 (0-3 ODAC).

Ferrum won all three doubles matches with the closest coming at second doubles where Jordan Thompson and Alexandria Dixon scored an 8-3 win over Guilford's Olivia LaGanza and Mackenzie Calton.

Five of the six singles bouts were determined in straight sets, save for the second singles contest where Ferrum's Autum Murray-Burns pulled out a 6-4, 1-6, 10-6 win over Guilford's Delaney Taylor.  Ferrum's Mallory Scott took an 8-4 win over LaGanza at third singles. The Panthers Morgan Scott topped Makayla McLaurin, 6-2, 6-1, at first singles.
