Quakers Fourth Heading into Final Round of NCAA Division III Championship

WHEELING, W. Va. – A third-round score of 71 by James Mishoe led the way for Guilford, which will open the final round of play in fourth when play resumes at the Oglebay Resort & Conference Center in Wheeling, West Virginia on Friday afternoon.

Mishoe, which closed the day with an eagle at nine along with birdies on the fourth and sixth greens, was even par with a 71. He added 11 pars, including six on the back nine. Mishoe climbed 30 spots into 18th and is 10-over-par with a 222 (74-77-71).

Joining Mishoe among top performers in the third round was Adison Manring, who finished with a one-over-par score of 72. Manring drained a third-round best three birdies for the Quakers, adding 12 pars along the way. Manring is 26th overall at 12-over-par with a 224 (78-74-72).

Guilford, which is 35-over-par with a combined score of 883 (302-286-295), sits 20 shots off the lead established by Illinois Wesleyan, which leads the way with a 15-over-par score of 863. Methodist is second at 30-over-par followed by third-place Denison, which is 32-over-par with a score of 880.

Jack Lee came through with a 74 for the Quakers, finishing three-over-par with a score of 74. Lee posted 11 straight pars and added four more in the final seven holes. Lee sits in 14th overall at nine-over-par with a 221 (76-71-74).

Louis Lambert came through with a seven-over-par score of 78 for Guilford, carding birdies at the 15th and 18th greens. He also was responsible for 10 pars on the afternoon. He sits in 45th-place with a combined score of 228 (81-69-78) at 16-over-par.

Sam Davidson rounded out the Guilford scorecard with a 12-over-par score of 83. Davidson, who didn't record a birdie in the third round, did post 10 pars for the Quakers. He is in a tie for 54th with a 17-over-par combined score of 229 (74-72-83).

A quartet of players sit atop the individual leaderboard with a two-over-par combined score of 214. They include Marc Mitchell (Denison), Jimmy Morton (Illinois Wesleyan), Will Hocker (Webster), Andre Chi (Methodist).

Guilford takes to the course for the fourth round at 8:20 a.m. on Friday, May 14th.
