  • Barolet- Fogarty Honored With Guilford's English Athletic Leadership Award

    Greensboro, NC -- Four of Guilford College's top student-athletes received the 2004 Nereus C. English '26 Athletic Leadership Award at a banquet Friday evening on Guilford's campus. This year's recipients are senior soccer player Megan Barolet-Fogarty , senior football player O.J. Batts , senior baseball player A.J. McCauley and senior basketball player Nicole McCrory . The four raise the number of English Award recipients in 23 years to 155.
  • Quakers Visit Local Hospital On Valentine's Day

    Greensboro, NC -- Members of Guilford's women's soccer team visited the Pediatric Ward of the Moses Cone Hospital on Valentine's Day. The nine student-athletes visited 10 patients and delivered stuffed animals and other Valentine's Day greetings. The team raised the funds for the gifts by selling merchandise and concessions at selected events in the Greensboro Coliseum.
  • Mundy Lands All-South Region Laurels

    Greensboro, NC -- Guilford College freshman Jennifer Mundy was selected to the National Soccer Coaches Association of America / adidas NCAA Division III South Region Third Team. Mundy becomes the school's second all-region selection and its first since Amy Evans '02 earned third-team honors in 2001.

    Greensboro, NC -- Junior Kimberly Mullen and freshman Jennifer Mundy earned Second Team All-Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) honors according to a vote of the league's 10 head coaches. Junior Flo Lance (Georgetown, SC/Georgetown), sophomore Heather Ruggiero , senior Megan Barolet-Fogarty, freshman Rachel Gwin and senior Lori Layton received honorable mention laurels.

    Greensboro, NC -- Senior Megan Barolet-Fogarty (Gainesville, FL/Eastside) earned a spot on the Verizon Academic All-District III College Division Women's Soccer Team Wednesday. She is eligible for selection to the College Division Academic All-America Team, which will be announced November 25.

Barolet-Fogarty, a first-time winner, joins Jennifer Mundy as Guilford's two ODAC Players of the Week this year.

    Greensboro, NC-- Guilford freshman Jennifer Mundy (Murrells Inlet, SC/Waccamaw) received the Old Dominion Athletic Conference's (ODAC) Women's Soccer Player of the Week Award for the week of September 22, the league announced Monday. Mundy becomes Guilford's first winner of the ODAC's weekly prize this season.

    CHAPEL HILL, NC ­­ Forwards Anne Morrell and Heather O'Reilly each scored two goals and had one assist and striker Leea Murphy added four assists as the No. 1 North Carolina women¹s soccer team sped past Guilford 9-0 Wednesday night before 687 fans at Fetzer Field. The Tar Heels scored all nine of their goals in a span of just 50:13 as UNC improved to 7-0 on the season. Guilford is now 3-4.

    Greensboro, NC -- A.J. Robertson collected Guilford's Best Female Senior Athlete and Quaker Club Ideal Female Student-Athlete Awards at an April 23 banquet in the school's Founders Hall cafeteria. The two-sport star also received the volleyball team's Best Offensive Player prize and the basketball squad's Most Valuable Player honor.
